infosecurity.ch is back online: the blog has been restored

After years offline, infosecurity.ch is back. On 17 September 2026 I restored this blog from its Internet Archive copy and republished it as a static site at https://infosecurity.ch.

Everything is as it was: the posts I wrote between 2007 and 2017 on privacy, security, hacking, encryption, interception and intelligence, the comments, tags and categories, and every original URL, including the automatic translations of the time. This is a historical archive: comments are closed and nothing has been rewritten, so some links point to a web that no longer exists.

What changed is under the hood: HTTPS, an up-to-date sitemap with language alternates, structured data, an RSS feed and machine-readable versions of the posts for search engines and AI assistants (llms.txt).

One 2010 post that had vanished from the blog before 2017 is back, recovered from a 2016 snapshot: Licensed by Israel Ministry of Defense? How things really works!, together with the automatic translations that were archived with it. A second one, published on 24 September 2010 about SIP/VoIP firewalls, was never archived and is lost.
